![]() Kiki at Multifaceted Mama listed me as one of the 5 she would nominate for the Rockin’ Girl Blogger. This is an interesting idea, and it has taken me some thought. Most of my blogger friends are on OpenDiary, which their accounts are private. I know why they do that, and I support them, and keep my account there alive just to read them. So I will go ahead and get them out of the way for my list of nominees. 1. Kim – Kim and I have a special relationship. We met when we were both pregnant, my husband was deployed, hers was home. Kim used to be an Air Force wife, but they are now civilian, trying to adjust to a civilian life in a military community. Kim and I also have one major thing in common, but as so opposite in the same thing, it is funny. We are both step-parents. I have been there, reading and supporting her as she put herself through so much stress trying to make sure her husband has a relationship with his daughter. She has very little self confidence, but then, neither do I. Kim and I have talked both on and off line. I claim her to be one of my best friends, and I have very few of those. 2. Tawney – Tawney is also an Air Force wife, she is currently living a dream life of mine, they are stationed in Italy. I am living greatly through her, since I know we will never get the chance to go there. She hasn’t written much since her husband went TDY or class in Germany, but I wait for her next update like a dog waiting for a bone sitting on the counter. She is a good friend, and we have missed physically meeting each other several times. 3. Tori – Tori is also a very good friend of mine, I claim her as my oldest friend now, since the rest have all faded away. Her writing is a bit on the depressed side at times since the loss of her brother, but with her new love and the house they are building, she is slowly re-entering life as a happy person. Those are the three rockin bloggers from my open dairy account. They are the main reason I keep going back to a site I hardly use any more. I wish I could share them with the world, but I understand their reasons for having private accounts. I send huge ::hugs:: to them!! 4. Kiki – Kiki is also a rockin blogger. I love the way she writes, very real in a story book format. I do not find very many Air Force wives writing, so I am find myself drawn to Army wives. I do not remember how I happened across her blog, but I am thankful that I did. I love stopping by and reading her updates while I sip at my hot chocolate in the morning. 5. Tammy – The Navy wife. She is another very good blogger that I love to wake up and read in the mornings. She is a favorite of mine for many of the same reasons Kiki is…. They both are very blunt but very soft with their writing, they write of real life but in a book form and fashion.
