There has been a whole lot of nothing really going on around here.
The kids are well into school.
The house is slowly getting unsummered.
Fall weather is approaching.
And my house is in gear up mode. (another entry, another time)

The days are getting shorter, the nights darker. Ahh, the fall/winter time has finally arrived. We have been sitting in the low to mid 60s all week, which kinda sucks when all the heavy jackets are in need of new.
My iPhone has not arrived yet, which I knew it wouldn’t, but my computer is slowly dieing even more. I can not afford to take it in to get worked on right now, and I have no clue how much longer it will hold out. About all I can do is get on line now, I can work a little with my office programs, but it requires me to save after every edit because you never know when it will crash. There is no form of copy and paste still, which makes some matters really annoying. It would be nice to have the iPhone so I can keep better tabs on the kids and school.
I have gotten myself into a decent routine, I get up with the husband, make him breakfast, and pack his bag. He heads to work, and I get about 10 minutes of quiet before Derric is up. I spend about 5 mins hold and cuddling him before I need to get the kids up. Getting them up an hour and a half before school starts is working much better than letting them sleep that extra 30 minutes. They are more awake when we head to the schools.
After walking the kids to school, and getting Derric situated with his aid in the morning, I come home, get myself a small breakfast, then curl up in bed with a good movie and my crocheting. No I will not say what it is… it be a surprise for my Tori in Az!! So ha!
By the time the movie is over (with many stops for walking around and lunch), it is time to head to the schools and get the kids.
We come home and I call them each one at a time for me to look through homework folders/agendas. I ask about their days (and much to teacher’s amusements) leave notes in their agendas. As long as they can give me a good run down of classes/days, they get a silly face and sticker. By collecting these, they get a star on a chart, which entitles them to 15mins of any form of electronic play over the weekend. (And to verify, I have daily emails from teachers!!! So they can’t lie to me)
I have some more indepth writing to do, but right now I need to get dressed and start my coffee.. The morning is going by while I am curled up at my computer. I will write more, much more, later… Probably tomorrow.

So, my computer has been down. At first, we thought it was the hard drive. After all, I was getting errors that pointed at the hard drive. But then my video started to go, so now it looks like it is both hard drive and video. We bought a pretty good sized external hard drive and I had started to move stuff over to that, but then video got so bad, I just couldn’t do anything with it any more… Big PITA.
I have been on Kevin’s mini laptop for a couple weeks now, and though I am enjoying the take over of such a nice item, I really missed my monitor and keyboard.
I had, in joking stated to Kevin this desire and I guess it got him a thinking…
He crawls into bed this morning, and in a very deep sleep hase, I remember him stating “your welcome”. I grunted huh and he said I would see in the morning… I rolled over and went to sleep, after all, I figured it would be a nice cold can of Dr. Pepper in the fridge.
That was, until I actually got up. After doing my normal morning meanness of waking children from sleeping beds, I went to sit on the couch, where I keep Kevin’s mini laptop, only to see, it is missing!!! OMFG please no! I start my search and what do I find?
The mini laptop is sitting on my desk, connected to not only my monitor, but my mouse and keyboard. The really nice external harddrive is also connected! NICE.
But right now, the external is connected to the husband’s computer, and doing a large file transfer, as my old hard drive, the one I thought crashed, is also connected and working beautifully. So I am transferring files to the external, just in case the old hard drive only works in Kevin’s computer.
I am going between the two computers while drinking Foldger’s Coffee with Hot Chocolate mixed in… Its not doing anything for my caffeine head ache, but nothing I can do about that until I can get soda from the store. 1 more hour!! Knew I should have picked some up when I made the mini commissary run on Tuesday!! 3 freaking days with no soda, my head is killing me!!! Oh, and I am so freaking tired. I could crash now if I wasn’t so excited about transferring files…
I am wanting a fallish design for my blog and all my image files are on the old hard drive. Soon to be on the external. Yes! And I can print out pictures to journal! Two events I haven’t been able to journal since no printer. Now I can print again… lol. Computer, I have missed you!!
Now to just get a new video card and see if that solves the age old question… What is wrong with my computer?!

What a Day…

Memorial Weekend was pretty good. Nothing much really happened.
Kevin and I played EQ2, kids played outside, and we all got some cleaning done. On Monday we had a nice BBQ, and the kids played at the park with water guns. There was more EQ2.
This morning was off, but then with Kevin’s schedule change, it is odd sleeping in now. I think I am used to waking up at 4 to get him going (after all, I woke up at 4 this morning with no alarm….). Got Kevin off to work, and walked the kids over to school. Only had a minor melt down with Derric, the dryer wasn’t done, so non of his shirts were dry. Normally he just takes one of Dokota’s and calls it good, but today, he threw a fit. Dokota had gotten him one of his on the smaller side shirts, but still, Derric just refused to wear it. With a promise of him taking it off when he gets home, we were finally good.
Once I got home, I cleaned the living room up (again) and got to work on my WiiFit. Yhea, I hurt. Today I did the Free Steps, I didn’t watch tv, mostly since I wanted to see what it was all about first. Tomorrow I might. I did the pace run, which I really don’t like. I think mostly because when I put the remote in my pocket, it doesn’t really read it well, and it kept changing my pace, even though I was moving the same. I ended up not really running just to keep the thing from yelling at me. After aerobics, I tried to do the strength training, push ups with side plank, and realize, I really suck at it! Mostly since I DON’T move at the same pace the “trainer” does… So I was getting yelled at because I wasn’t keeping pace with the machine.. After that, I decided on a little yoga, and moved to the Sun pose. My balance was way off, so I failed that, even thou if you ask my body, I did it right lol.
Yhea, it was time to call it quits.
I grabed two bags of 100 Calorie snack packs and headed to my computer. I got to work on the family website, did a lot of changes. Stop by and let me know what you think. In case you never went to the family site before and want to know what was changed; I changed the kids’ page, got a really nice picture of all 4 kids, thanks to the elementary school holding a family/sibling photo shoot day. Then I linked their individual pages. These were also changed. Before, you had to go to the education page to see report cards, now I linked their report cards to their individual pages. Before, the only thing on the individual pages were their pictures, now it has school stuff… Personally, I like this better.
After I got the family site how I wanted it, I headed up to the BX. I needed a few things and I wanted to just roam.
I found nice water bottles for the kids for this summer. Got a Dr. Pepper, and had found they had restocked the Nike+ sensors. I picked one up and just about ran home to try it out. Soo excited. Until I got the thing in my shoe. For over an hour I walked and walked, and walked, trying to get the sensor to link to the iPod Touch. No such luck. So I returned it. Rather sad. I really hope to get a new one next month. I really want that sensor. I tried everything under the sun to get it to work. And it just wouldn’t.
Came home from returning the sensor and worked on adding my working out page to the blog. Nothing really on it but links to my sparkpage and extrapounds page. Also stats and my Nike+ badge for whenever I get a working sensor and can start working out with it…
Then it was time to pick up the munchkins, so off to the school I headed. Derric was taking his sweet time getting ready, but finally got him out the door. Headed to the main building, wanted to stop by the office to start looking into becoming a Special Ed assistant sub. But the lady in charge of that wasn’t in today, so time to just head back home. Now, here I am.
