Blogging is my way of sorting threw my thought. I have been blogging since 2003, on and off, and not all of it here. I have many different areas to blog about, military, step-parenting, parenting, and military…. oh wait, I said that one already. Unlike most stepfamilies in the blog group, my stepkids live with us, full time, they don’t have to deal with transitions, or not being here. Their mother has made the choice of disengaging from these three wonderful kids and I am now their primary parent. She still has 30% custody, she just chooses not to use it. So that does bring on quiet the drama, but in different forms. I also am a part of the military blog sphere, though I haven’t joined too many military groups. It is hard to chose which blogs to send this off to, since honestly, all the blogs I read are ones I love. But sitting down to choose between so many is tough, so I think I will just work from the list. Stephanie at She Who Waits. I have been reading her adventures on and off for a few years. She is a wonderful writer, writing more from her thoughts and her heart then for anyone really. Butterfly Wife over at The Life and Times of a Butterfly Wife is a wonderful read. Her family just transitioned from Reserves to full time Active Duty. Her posts are down to earth, raw, and sometimes rather funny. I also love her posts “Good News from Iraq” that she has feeding into her blog. Mia at StepMamma Mia is a new read. She is also a somewhat new blogger. She is a full time stepmamma to a little boy. The biggest problem I have, is I lurk on most blogs. But stop by these three, they are a wonderful read.
