A Quick May Update
|
|
Posted on Monday 18 May 2009 at 8:35 pm
I have quiet a bit of catching up to do… A lot has gone on and at the same time, very little has actually happened…
Lets see here. On May 6th, Derric got to attend the Special Olympics with his Autism class. He had lots of fun doing a few of the “events” in the Kinder room. He was actually too young to fully compete, since it was 8 and up, but they had a little room set aside with fun activities the younger kids could do for “prizes”. He had lots of fun doing that. The day was filled with lots of walking and a few pictures.
 Group Hug
On May 7th, Dokota and Kauchana had Middle School field trips, and we celebrated Dokota’s birthday.
 Happy 14th!!

Birthday Blues

So it was my birthday yesterday… turned 27…. I feel older.
The day itself was spent kinda relaxed. Managed to even get a nap in before needing to pick the kids up from school. Played on Free Realms for a bit also, that is kinda fun. A nice break from both EverQuest2 and WoW. Very kidsy, which I was in the mood.

The Weekend and Beyond
|
|
Posted on Tuesday 24 March 2009 at 3:49 pm
We had a pretty decent weekend.
Saturday, Kevin, Xavier, and I headed over to Spang to check the mail. Nada, still no iTouch, getting very pissed here! After a very unsuccessful chat with the post office people, we left. I expected us to just head back home, take Xavier to the BX and let him pick out his presents…. Kevin had another thing in mind. We bypassed the turn to get onto the Autobahn and kept driving. After a while I commented that we would end up in Manderscheid if we kept on the same path. Kevin told me that was his plan.
I am very annoyed now, if I had known this, I would have brought my camera!
We passed a very beautiful Abby in one town, and finally made it to Manderscheid. The castle ruines are so gerogeous! I told Kevin we HAVE to go back so I can get pictures.
I will say the road to Manderscheid and then back out is not a fun road. I sware this road would give anyone car sickness LOL. But it was a beautiful drive.
Once we got home, I really needed to settle my stomack, so I curled up on the bed for a bit, then took some pain meds for my head. Once I felt kinda human again, Kevin, Xavier, and I headed up to the BX. Xavier picked out $30 worth of Pokemon cards, then to the commissary for special dinner fixings. Kevin picked up stuff for a wonderful BBQ and also for Stroganoff. YUM! Then home again, where I put the Pokemon cards away and once the kids cleaned the kitchen, I was able to put the food stuffs away.
We had a wonderful BBQ, made so much food. Then headed to bed.

Mom’s Visit *long*
|
|
Posted on Thursday 14 August 2008 at 12:57 am
We had a really good visit with my mom. All the kids enjoyed her being here, they even went from calling her Grandma Jenny to just Grandmama. Her special title they said. She laughed, but loved it very much. Because of gas prices, we weren’t able to do too much, but we did manage to have some fun. Here is a run down of what we did, before I start with the pictures:
- Cascade Pool
- Köln Zoo
- Trier – Imperial Baths, Dom Cathedral, Walkplatz
We also went to the Bitburger Brewery, the Bitburger is the prized beer around here, they said in a 4 year tour, you could try one type a day, and not taste every kind that is made…. Personally, I have thought about taking a tour. I just need to find a babysitter for about 4 hours, since that is the average length of time for the tour and tasting at the end.
Anyway, I am drifting.. I was talking about mom’s visit, wasn’t I? Ok, I guess I can get back to that.
